Welcome to Fall Ya'll!
Autumn is here! The air is getting crisp, leaves turning yellow and there is finally rain in the forecast. Welcoming the cold weather is not easy for everyone. It can be hard to accept the annual dying process occurring all around us. Take a lesson from the trees and simply let your leaves drop. Everything that has bloomed this summer and no longer serves us may simply float away with the wind. Gather up all the energy you need for the winter and get ready to hunker down. Make like a squirrel and store all the goodness from summer to keep you nourished through the cold season. Now is a great time to can tomatoes, ferment veggies, and harvest the last of the fruit. Get ready to get cozy.
Whats in season: gourds, apples, pears, figs, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, persimmons, brussel sprouts, bitter greens
